Relive the Amusement Park Days of Lake Lansing
Meridian Township, MI — Meridian Township is bringing back the amusement park days as the carousel returns to Lake Lansing South during the free Fun in the Sun Day event on Friday, June 16th from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Returning after 30 years, Playmakers of Okemos presents the classic carousel available for unlimited rides all weekend long (June 16th through June 18th). Admission is free and open to the public. Celebrate the history of Lake Lansing with family friendly activities including:
- Carousel
- Petting Zoo
- Carnival Games
- Dunk Tank
- Inflatable Moonwalk and Giant Inflatable Slide
- CADL Summer Reading Kick-off
- Outdoor Barbecue fundraiser
- Lake Lansing History Tent
- Musical Performances at the Bandshell
Attendees can kick off the Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) summer reading program with LINC and friends, get a picture with Bubbles from Goldfish Swim School and fill up with the Okemos Masonic Center outdoor barbecue fundraiser. Then dance the night away with LIVE music at the band shell featuring The New Rule. and Gemini starting at 7:00 pm.
Parking is free at Lake Lansing South and free overflow parking will be available at Haslett Village Square. Free shuttle services will be provided. Fun in the Sun Day at Lake Lansing South is part of Meridian Township’s 175th Anniversary Celebration.
